I am so glad we stopped here. It was my second time, the kids' first. I'm always so saddened, humbled, angered, grateful - every emotion possible comes across me when visiting here and thinking about that April day in 1995. I'm also glad Kylee and Kaden have a better understanding and knowledge as well. I wasn't sure about taking the kids out of school for an entire week, but the education they received at places such as this and the Alamo were worth it as well as the time spent with my parents.
It was a trip I will always cherish.
