March brought a new experience for Kylee - HURDLES! The Tigers need a fourth person for the shuttle hurdle relay team. The coaches thought Kylee might a good fit. When they asked her she thought they were kidding and said "sure." Well, they were very serious. With the trip to Texas she had only one hurdles practice before her first meet (picture above). She did well - so well in fact, they also added her to the 100 meter individual hurdles. Combine her new found love of the hurdles with her love of running 400s she begged to do the 400 hurdles. The coaches let her try that toward the end of the season and she placed 7th at Districts!
Chad and I are so very thankful that she really likes her coaches. They get her, appreciate her, respect her, make her laugh, challenge her... Thank you Coach Olson and Coach VanZante.
I know there are way too many photos here but wanted to keep the favorites together so I can get a book made in the future. Thank you Dad for the AWESOME PHOTOS - you're the best!
Besides the shuttle hurdles, 100 hurdles and 400 hurdles, Kylee ran the 4 x 400 and also some 800s.
